The General Federation of Women’s Clubs is oneof the world’s largest and oldest women’s volunteer service organizations. Workinglocally in thousands of clubs in the U.S., and globally in more than 17countries, GFWC members support the arts, preserve natural resources, promoteeducation, encourage healthy lifestyles, stress civic involvement and worktoward world peace and understanding.
The Hendersonville Woman’s Club is proud to be a women’s organization dedicated tocommunity improvement through volunteer service. GFWC’s history can be traced back to 1868, and now is the largest,oldest, nonpartisan, nondenominational, international volunteer serviceorganization of women in the world.
Members of GFWC are women of all ages who want to expand their horizons by meeting new friends, gaining knowledge about their communities and the world around them, learning new skills, and bringing new interests into their lives while accepting the challenge of improving their communities and themselves.
